We are a high quality butchers who has provided the best quality locally produced meat, poultry and game to discerning customers in Abingdon and Botley, Oxfordshire since 1896.

We hope our customers find it easy to shop with us, using both Chalgrove and our new Botley shop, you can also telephone us in advance if you have specific requests, unusual needs or wish our butchers to prepare a large freezer order.

If we do not have what you need in our shops then we would be happy to order it in for you.

Hedges Butchers are proud to carry on the long standing tradition of butchery. Sourcing our meat from local farmers we forge good working relationships and the highest animal welfare which ensures our customers receive high graded, superior quality meat, poultry and game.

Hedges recently made the decision to move from The Covered Market in Oxford to a new shop at Elms Parade in Botley which we are happy to announce is fully open and hopefully much more convenient for our customers to come and shop with us.
